A few months after her wedding, my sister asked me if I would do a ‘Trash the Dress’ (also known as ‘Wreck the Dress’) shoot with her and her husband. Now, I have to admit that, at the time, I had never heard of the concept.
So after a bit if googling I found out that it was a craze, which seemed to originate from America, where couples do an after wedding shoot where they have fun ruining their wedding clothes – or at least get them a bit grubby.
They said that they wanted the shoot set in some woods so I thought of nearby Crackerly Woods where we used to go when we were children. We headed over there on a dry and bright November morning. The woods were full of great autumnal colours everywhere with leaves completely covering the ground so it made for a colourful shoot.
It was good fun and definitely something I’d like to do more of.
