Clarissa and Tom’s wedding was held in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. Their ceremony was held at St Mary’s Church in Staverton, with the reception just down the road in a marquee in the garden at Clarissa’s parents’ house in Catesby.
Wedding Photography in Northamptonshire
I started the day by joining Clarissa and her family at the family home where Clarissa was getting ready with her bridesmaid, parents, and the children. It was already a beautiful sunny morning and promised to be a hot day. The room Clarissa was getting ready in had a great view over the garden and the marquee being decorated below. Whilst I was shooting the girls, my second shooter, Mark, met the boys down the road at the local pub to capture some images of them having a pre-ceremony drink and meeting guests.
The church ceremony at St Mary’s in Staverton was lovely and relaxed with one of the flower girls entertaining herself and everyone else by wondering around the aisle playing. After plenty of smiles and the odd vow thrown in, Clarissa and Tom were married! They were then covered in confetti before heading back to the family farm for their drinks reception.
It was a lovely setting with views of rolling hills, and it remained hot and sunny all day! We did a few family photos and then some nice natural portraits of the happy couple together before their wedding breakfast started. The catering from NICuisine was superb I have to say! Some lovely speeches followed and were finished off with Clarissa’s brother leading a game of heads and tails to get everyone involved.
After the wedding breakfast guests headed back outside to enjoy the remaining sunshine before it was time to cut the cake and then go into the first dance. Whilst the sun was setting we made time for a few more couple photos in the fields before heading back to catch the action on the dance floor. There were a few dance offs and plenty of shapes being thrown – I love a good dance floor!
