Rach and Matt’s winter wedding was in early December – one of my favourite times of year for a wedding! I love the challenge of working with minimal daylight, and all the twinkly fairy lights come out giving a magical Christmasy feel to the day. This was no exception.
Rach got ready at her parents’ house in Kenilworth whilst Matt got ready just around the corner at a friend’s house. This allowed me to photograph the bride prep and also pop over and see the guys during the morning. The ceremony was just ten minutes down the road at St. James the Great Church in the little hamlet of Old Milverton, just outside Leamington Spa. It’s a lovely little church and the same place where I photographed her cousin Sarah’s wedding a couple of years ago.
After the church ceremony everyone headed off to their reception venue, Wootton Park. Wootton Park is a great venue in the Warwickshire countryside with plenty of room inside and outside. Just as well as it was a fairly chilly day so it was great to have somewhere warm and cosy for everyone to enjoy the day!
