My second wedding of the year saw me back at the wonderful Shustoke Farm Barns for the lovely Shelby & Matt’s wedding. March weddings can be a bit hit and miss with the weather but Shelby & Matt got lucky with a nice dry day with the rain holding off all day.

Clare and Jon’s winter wedding was my first wedding of 2017 and it was a great start to the year! February can be a very grey and wet month but when I woke up last Saturday and looked out of the window there was nothing but blue skies and sunshine… and it stayed like that all day.

Rach and Matt’s winter wedding was in early December – one of my favourite times of year for a wedding! I love the challenge of working with minimal daylight, and all the twinkly fairy lights come out giving a magical Christmasy feel to the day. This was no exception.

What a fantastic year 2016 has been! This year has been my busiest so far and I have had the pleasure of photographing some amazing weddings. It really is an honour to have captured such precious memories for all the couples who have put their trust in me to be their photographer at their weddings this year, I really do appreciate it.

When Andrea first got in touch with me she said that their wedding would be happening in Nick’s parents garden in Beausale, Warwickshire, it would be a very relaxed affair, and that they were looking for a wedding photographer who would capture their day in a subtle and untraditional way. I love to unobtrusively capture the wedding day as it happens and my style is definitely not traditional so it sounded like a perfect match.

As a Warwickshire wedding photographer, a lot of the weddings I cover are in and around the Warwickshire area. However, I am more than happy to travel all over the country and even abroad so when Bryony and Dan got in touch about their Somerset wedding at the stunning Orchardleigh House, located on the Orchardleigh Estate, I was very excited about the opportunity to shoot at such a fantastic venue.

When Rachel & Alex first got in touch with me about their wedding photography, we arranged to meet at their chosen wedding venue, Ettington Park Hotel. What a great venue it is too! It’s just six miles from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, and just a few miles from the start of The Cotswold Way. The Neo-Gothic mansion is set in 40 acres of parkland in a valley with the River Stour meandering through the middle of it – a fantastic location for a wedding!

I first met Charlotte & Jack back in February last year at their wedding venue Shustoke Farm Barns in Warwickshire. As soon as I arrived, it was obvious what a stunning venue it is. The 18th-Century barns surround a beautiful courtyard with ancient olive trees and fire pits. Inside there are flagstone floors, beautiful oak beams, walls filled with candles and the lovely sparkle of fairy lights – perfect for a winter wedding!

Sherbourne Park in Warwickshire was the setting for Jo & Daniel’s wedding. It’s a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian house set on an estate between Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon. It’s a perfect venue for a wedding as it leads directly in to the church yard of All Saints Church (where the ceremony was being held) through a gate at the back of the gardens.
Although it was October and the start of Autumn, the weather was nice and warm all day. When I first arrived in the morning, the sun seemed to be trying desperately to break through the hazy clouds but was unable to do so and it remained cloudy with some hazy sunshine all day, creating a beautiful diffused light for photos.

Sarah is an old school friend of my girlfriend so I came highly recommended to Sarah & Tom! They didn’t want an overly formal wedding, in fact they initially planned to just have a party in a field with friends and family. In the end they opted for more of a traditional wedding with a fun and relaxed feel to it – still involving partying in a field later on! It sounded like fun so I was excited to accept the booking.
There had been a fair bit of rain in the week leading up to their wedding day so it wasn’t looking too promising. However, the rain had stopped the day before and it had started to dry out and on the day itself there were blue skies and sunshine which lasted pretty much all day.
